Many of us have words which have been smouldering inside us but as life has taken over, the words have been dampened down. And yet the fire in the ideas will not be put out.
Some wish to write their story to help others, or for their family or even for a much grander reason such as making a change or leaving a legacy. Actually these are not so grand that they are unreachable – writing a book can do this.
But then what? Or now what? Maybe you already have something written down?
That’s where I come in.
Besides providing practical writing tools which work, I can help you publish to the world’s largest bookstore where you could potentially reach millions of readers who are crying out for a good yarn. This publisher is Amazon, who have a digital platform known as kindle. All you need to do is provide me with your story, I can proofread it for you and even offer editing suggestions, design a cover to comply with Amazon’s requirements and publish it for you.
This may be all you require OR we can take it further.
You might like it published in hard copy as well as digital and sold through Amazon, you may wish to promote it with a website, video book trailers, social media and even beyond.
Or maybe you don’t want the hoopla – all you want is to write the book and have it in print without paying thousands of dollars to a publisher and filling your garage with unsold books.
Amazon kindle happens the other way. You publish it and they send you payment as it gets sold. No piles of books to store after paying so much money because it is cheaper to get more printed at a time.
Even Amazon’s hard copy publishing service is print-on-demand. That means when someone buys one, they print it and it is cost effective to even print only one or two at a time. With digital printing, there are no printing set-up costs each time like there is with conventional printers as I will have already set it up for you digitally at the beginning of the process.
But more about that later. What’s the next step? WRITE THE BOOK!
Easier said than done, right? If you don’t know where to start, seek out one of my First Draft books, then read my blog (filled with practical suggestions and tools for getting words on paper, and/or eventually, screen).
Now what? Make a start. And get in touch.
PS This site is new. Check back in a few days and it will look much better.
